YWCA Delegates to Commission on Status of Women

Attending a variety of meetings on the first official day of meetings, the YWCA delegates attended also these meetings:

  • NGO CSW Conversation Circle on Human Rights, with Connie Tate and Liz Nash facilitating;
  • To 2015 and Beyond – Putting Girls’ Education at the Heart of the Agenda (UNICEF);
  • Experiences of sexism, media and examples of strategies and programmes designed to address sexism and gender inequality (DAN Churchaid, UK Government and World YWCA);
  • Achieving the MDGs – Do women’s Rights Matter?  (Global Fund for Women);
