The YWCA World Service Council of YWCA USA will celebrate a century of service in a special free virtual presentation Thursday, October 15 at 5 p.m. EDT. The program will document the Council’s extraordinary history on the world stage from the aftermath of World War I and II to present day and will feature women who have played prominent roles in the World Service Council and World YWCA. Learn more about the impact of this globally focused organization whose mission is to elevate the status of women and girls around the world by registering here.

In its impressive financial role for the World YWCA, the World Service Council has been instrumental in supporting global young women’s leadership through decades of the World YWCA’s internship program and has contributed to capacity building of World YWCA trainings and brick and mortar projects.

Members of the World Service Council are women with a global vision who care about our changing world and champion the work of the YWCA in its commitment to dignity, freedom, justice and peace. The October meeting will be a great way for the entire YWCA movement to learn more about the Council’s mission and impact on ensuring women and girls’ have equal opportunities and a voice in all issues affecting their lives.
